Frequently Asked Questions
Does my cat have to be vaccinated?
Yes. Vaccinations are extremely important to protect your cat and others from
disease. Cats must be up to date (within one year) with their vaccinations. All
kittens must have had their first vaccination and a booster shot before coming
to board.
If you need to get your cat vaccinated before boarding it with us, there is a 3
week standdown period before the booster shot. They can come to us directly
after the booster shot has been administered.
Do you have communal living?
No. Due to the risk of cross infection, all cats have their own units unless
they come from the same home in which case they are welcome to share a double
unit. Each cat is let out once or twice a day with me so that they can enjoy
extra attention and grooming and have a good play.
Will my cat receive the same food s/he has at home?
Yes. We will adhere to your cat's dietary requirements. We supply everything
for your cat, but please bring anything you feel will make your cat feel at
home - bedding, toys etc.
Please note that at Rushcroft Cattery, we specialise in caring for timid cats.
What if my cat gets sick?
While we do not have a vet on site, your cat will have access to quality vet
care should they require it.
My cat requires ongoing medication. Will this be a problem?
At Rushcroft we are experienced in administering most forms of cat medication.
Please discuss with us any needs in this area your cat might have.
Can I come visit my cat?
Of course you can! Visting hours are from 8am to 12 noon and 4pm to 6pm Monday
